The Atelier at Flowerfield, the Crossroads of Art and Community

Our mission is to stimulate and enhance appreciation of the arts on Long Island and the greater New York metropolitan area. In today’s increasingly technological society, we strive to preserve beauty through learning, understanding, creation and enjoyment of art in all forms. Our goal is to teach art to students of all ages, of all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds and of all levels of ability in a unique and nurturing learning environment. We also seek to assist students in creating portfolios and advancing their careers.

The atelier offers studio art classes for all ages and all levels of experience.

Our classes are taught by talented and inspiring instructors dedicated to teaching their craft and sharing their passion for art. Classes are held in our uniquely designed north light studios in keeping with the traditions of European and early American painters. The Atelier at Flowerfield also maintains Atelier Hall, a 2,000 square foot gallery where we showcase the artwork of students, instructors, and visiting artists, and host free art history lectures open to the public. The newly constructed Atelier Fine Art Library holding a large collection of rare and historic catalogs fine art books serves as a place of study for students and visitors of the Atelier.
